Thousands of chocolate-loving shoppers are flocking to Green Lanes Shopping Centre to see the one meter high Easter egg that’s up for grabs in an Easter competition run by the centre.
The team have been overwhelmed by the number of entries so far for the huge egg, which will go to the lucky person who guesses it’s weight correctly.
Thousands of entrants have already logged on line to the Green Lanes website and it looks like it might be the most popular competition ever by the shopping centre.
Green Lanes centre manager, Jan Dayman, said: "It is incredible that a whopping egg could cause so much excitement. We’ve had competitions before to win up to a thousand pounds, and not had this many entrants. It just goes to show that chocolate is the ultimate prize, especially if its one metre high!"
The closing date takes place on 15th April 2010. The person who guesses correctly, or is the closest, will win.
